fluff   angel   fluff   angelwings   fluff   angel   fluff   angelwings   fluff   angel   fluff

Just this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food and water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.

The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they miss someone very special to them who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. The bright eyes are intent, the eager body quivers.  Suddenly she begins to break away from the group, flying over the green grass, her legs carrying her faster and faster. YOU have been spotted and when you and your special friend finally meet you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face, your hands again caress her beloved head and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you pass over Rainbow Bridge together....

I'm feeling sappy blush ........ thought I would create a thread
for all the fluffs fluff who have gone on to Rainbow Bridge .

Doesn't matter if we really knew them or not blush.
If he/she has been called to the Lord then he/she
must have donned angel wings angelwings and is
happily romping (with other fluffs! Clap) at Rainbow Bridge .

If a Bichon Frise fluff has touched you (like Mr Widget touched me blush)
feel free to tell me his/her name, and I'll add him/her to the 'romping ground'.

(PS: Fluffs are 'arranged' in no particular order blush.  I was just going through the MEMORIAL board,
and collected their names blush.  You can read each fluff's memorial thread at your leisure blush)

PS: Terri, what was that Bichon's name?.... Leo?  the one that made you decide get a Bichon.

I will nodding also start a similar thread for OTHER PETS soon.

Although Annie sadangel is the fluff that 'inspired' me to create this thread,
I'm not adding her JUST YET, Karen closedeyes..... kinda hopin' if ya know what I mean closedeyes.

Yes his name is Leo. I'll never forget him.
Thanks Terri for the link to Leo's angel memorial page.
I know you had posted it before closedeyes.... now new members will get to see it too! blush

I've added another fluff fluff-girl, after Leo fluff-boy.
Angel was a member's fluff..... just 11 weeks old Pacifier
but sadly Crying was put to sleep on Christmas Day
because of a congenital sick heart murmur.

I didn't have a pet at the time of Leo's death.  No
But I was completely outraged.  Ranting  Andrew Burnett got sent to jail for 3 years.
Not sure how much of that he actually served.  shrug
I knew I needed a Bichon Frise as soon as I laid eyes on Leo Wub
I give Belle all the love that Sara McBurnett would have bestowed upon Leo.

Thank you for adding Scruffy, Del.  I didn't see him earlier in the day when I looked at this thread.  Couldn't comment then as I was "peeking" at work.  Maybe he was there but I just didn't happen to see him.  What a nice thread, so glad you started it.

I don't know where I was at when Leo's death occured.  This is the first time that I heard/read of it.  That is terrible, horrible, and that man can rot in h*ll.  How horrible would that be to watch your beloved pet die right in front of your eyes??   I had a cat that got hit by a car, and although I love cats, my little Savior means alot to me and I couldn't even imagine.  That would be like watching your child get hit and killed right before your eyes.  I wonder how much time he actually served..maybe half????   Good behavior, etc.  and that is more than horrible.  I feel for Leo's mom, and I hope that her pain has gone away a little bit.  Rest in peace Leo!!!   You're an  angel romping around the open fields.   Love, Destrie and Savior boy

My family had a Bichon, Cassie, for 15 years while I was growing up.  She passed away April, 2006.  She was the light of our lives.  She was the main reason I chose to get a bichon of my own (Annie) recently.  I've attached a couple pictures of Cassie when she was in her prime.  I know she's in a better place now.  Smiley angel

I only heard that awful story going through an old thread and OMG.Poor little innocent Leo and his family. I didnt stop thinking about it,I felt like my heart was breaking scrolling down the page.I have to say I couldnt stop the tears.  Crying   closedeyes The language I could use it made me so angry but...I shall refrain. What a horrible horriblr thing to happen,I cannot stand people who hurt animals in any way. They deserve every minute of the sentence they get and in my opinion much much more life in prison. I know I am ranting on but I hate to hear stories like this, they really affect me. I am completley outraged and deeply saddened.Even if I only heard about the story and it may not have been recently,I just had to rant about it somewhere!  crybaby Sorry to have discovered it so late. I also found little Comets story in an old thread how tragic!(It was closed, but I just had to post about it and thought here would be appropiate as its a memorial thread)   angel   I felt so angry all over again and the was more than one tear in my eye!How heartbreaking His story was, poor little Comet and his family. How evil would someone have to be to hurt an animal?  And that little piece about rainbow bridge at the start of this thread is just beautiful.  angel

wave Jane, you posted in the "Pets romping at Rainbow Bridge" thread, but no worries, I've merged your post to this one (the former is for our other pets, ie. not Bichons).

I've added Darla angelwings to our 'virtual' Rainbow Bridge playground.  Like I mentioned before blush, you can do a tribute (eg: post her photos) right here in the [Memorial] board.  But only if you want / if you're ready ~ please don't think I'm pressuring you. blush  Darla angelwings was very lucky to have had 14 years with you(r family).

                In memory of Leo

Dell, this rainbow bridge thread is so nice. I just went through it and read about the post Terri made of Leo. So so so sad. I'm crying so much. I can't believe someone would do such a thing. Oh!! It's hard to even picture it!
But I wanted to post to say this creep who did this to Leo has a hall of shame photo here:
http://www.nndb.com/people/251/000030161/
And if  you look up his name on google, google assist shows "Andrew Burnett Dog Killer". I'm glad to know that someone that does such an evil thing still has a bad name even 10 years later!  Oh! That poor owner of Leo!! What an awful thing!! Burnett's appeal got denied! The creep got 3 years. Way to go for the judge for being strict, but 3 years of jail isn't what I would give him... I would .... I can't say!!!

What a lovely little memorial, Del.  Thank you for including my beautiful boy Oscar on here. It is still very surreal to me that he is actually gone.  As you know, we had him cremated and I got him home yesterday, which has given me so much comfort.  He has taken his special place on our fireplace mantel in the family room where we spent so many wonderful times together as a family.  He will stay forever in our hearts...run free at the Bridge my beautiful Angel boy..you deserve to be soaring again and running free without pain or sadness.  Until we meet again..mom and papa love you so very very much.  We will never forget you and you will always have a very special place in our hearts.  angel  Kiss

I would like to add m darling little Daisy to the fluffs romping on the Bridge. I rescued her in January of 2009. I had posted on here back then that I was looking for another Bichon to add to my life...it's a long story and I'm so sorry I never posted her arrival.  But, I had her for 7 glorious years...she passed on August 20th, 2016, at the age of 15.  I miss her every day, she was my best friend.
