     fluff          fluff          fluff          fluff

A large part of the Bichon Frise's fluff attraction Wub is undoubtedly it's plush, white coat.  Made even more appealing Love Eyes with expert grooming as you see in show ring.  American powderpuff or French au naturel, there's no denying that a good scissoring (or clipping) job will bring out your fluff's best side Stick Out Tongue

(some members will say the bedhead or messy look is just as scrummylicious and I must say I agree nodding)

But for those (especially New Here) members who are bringing their fluffs fluff to professional groomers (eg: for that very first time), or thinking of (home)grooming their flufferbutts themselves, and wanna see freshly-groomed flufferbutts, check out the following threads groovy.

(also, these threads contain some discussions about grooming.... putting the links here as members would not know to look/search in photo threads blush)

I'll add more links as & when they become available.  Meanwhile, to turn this into a meeting discussion thread, let's talk about how much we like (or don't like) the freshly-groomed look.

I loveword2: the freshly groomed look and smell. nodding
It's my favorite! Wub
I get conflicting opinions on how often to bathe, (Belle, not me) so we just go with when she becomes
"Smelly Bellie" (well, I guess that does apply to me as well) Laughing
I'm gonna browse through the links to refresh my memory.
I don't have your memory Del, I forget things as soon as I hit enter. Laughing

Livin the life of Riley

When I first got Riley I loved his scruffy look and swore to never cut his fur. noway   Due to his thick coat it became a nightmare to comb and he got so hot in summer so I took the plunge and scissor cut him.  Oh My  I have watched myself change from someone who wanted the scruffy look to someone who loves it more and more each cut that he looks more like the plushy version.  Laughing  I think each fluff lends themselves to their own personal look.  nodding   Riley just seems to have grown in to his bichon shape, his fro just came so easy.  manfro  I never even though I would cut his ears short but now I love them shorter.  Laughing

Hey, it's a woman's perogative to change her mind right!  eyebrows Laughing .... I'm wondering if it also has something to do with the puppy coat vs. the adult coatthinking ... I'm thinking that when they are a puppy Pacifier ... their ears are naturally a bit longer and they have that cute "scruffy" look Stick Out Tongue ... but as their adult coat comes in .... sometimes it doesn't "scruff up" as cute anymore.  wink1 Laughing ... unsure I'm just thinking this because I've just noticed with  clown Buddy, that he seems to have more "puppy like" hair (don't know  shrug if it will change or not) and there is  No no way I could ever get him "poofedmanfro , and frankly kinda like him a bit "scruffy" Wub with his coat the way it is.  blush .. but if his coat does change ... I'll get him "fro'd"  manfro pronto!  Laughing

I'm wondering if Belle will ever get a poofie head like Bianca, Max & Riley???
You all know that's what I always wanted, so as my luck would dictate, it'll prolly not happen. Laughing
Honestly though, at this point, I'm so crazy in love with Belle, she could be bald and it would make no difference to me. Wub
I loveword2: her little quirks, and just how she's so perfectly Belle. heart

Terri I seriously don't think Belle would be Belle with a poofy head  No , I for one just love her beautiful luscious whispy curls and fluff top.  Stick Out Tongue  Hug   And you sumed it up she is just so perfectly Belle. angelwings  Riley just grew in to his fro  manfro which is what makes him Riley, shhh  I seriously wanted a Boogie or a Cheeko, or a Belle  nodding , but I got Riley and like you feel I feel about Riley  Hug , we are all just lucky I reckon.  nodding

I'm sure she will Terri!  And I'm not noway just saying that to patronize ya! neener
You do know Bianca didn't start off with a poofie head (no siree!)

And if memory serves me right whistling (and I'm always right neener) Belle did have the beginnings of a fro manfro goin' on after a trip to Nikki's
(that thread where I said some of her most beautiful shots are in.... not that she isn't beautiful in others Stick Out Tongue..... but the pics I'm referring to were taken outdoors, with great natural light et al! thumbsup).

I love that freshly groomed look too, whether it's a professional job or one of their Mommy's "in between" jobs.  Like Terri, I'm wondering if my Callie is ever gonna grow a fro.  She looks poofy right after a grooming, but her fro seems to just melt very quickly.  Her hair is so much softer than Cassie's, it's still very puppy soft.  At one point I thought she was getting her adult coat, but now it seems like she's stuck and it's not changing anymore.  It really doesn't matter whether she gets all poofy or not, I love her either way.  Hug

Karen Hug, I'll say what I said to Terri..... your baby's (wo)manfro manfro will come in!  Today I was going through some 'early' pics of Bianca and she didn't have a good (wo)manfro manfro during her yearling too! blush   From what I remember of your girls' last photo thread (which was such a long time ago whistling *hint*) they were looking very pretty and very good! thumbsup

will never forget his first haircut! the best ever... Yeah
Lucia, Thanks for posting a pic! clapping    I thought unsure Murphy's first grooming was the 'clipping' scared Laugh and Bounce you gave him?  This (pic) was the first visit to the groomer I presume? blush
PS: And I agree nodding..... Murphy fluff looks so good with his fro manfro now!! Love Eyes
