I don’t know if anyone will see this but just in case old members visit.  We had to say goodbye to Poppy last week. She was 16 years and 9 months old. Until recently she was fine - aging but postering and eating well. She enjoyed going out in her buggy and more often than not would walk rather than ride. But then she started to lose her appetite and have problems toileting. She was unhappy. We knew it was time and she left us peacefully at the vets. There is this huge hole in our hearts and lives. Poor Bengy, once one of 4 is now an only dog.

Rest in peace Poppy, much missed

Oh my, I am so sorry for your loss, Pam.  Poppy was a dear girl and yes, we 'oldies' on here do remember everyone!  It is so hard losing a family member.

Thank you Sandie and Susie
It is hard - there is this empty space in our living room just silent. My poor husband is ok as long as he doesn’t think about her but sometimes is so sad. She was part of our lives for so long. We collect her ashes this week and that will be fraught. But I am resolved that in the Spring we will take them along with Pepe and Titch’s ashes which we still have, over to the west coast of Dumfries and Galloway and release them there in a much loved spot.
Ah me, thanks again
