fluffnewhere  Greetings Everyone!  Thanks for having us.  Milo and his family (Elena, George and our 8 and 14 year old boys) live in northern NJ.  Milo is now 1 - 1/2 years old.  We adopted him from a ResQ organization when he was 3 months.  We think he is a puppy mill/backyard breeder survivor/reject.  He is our first Bichon, and my 7th dog.  He came to us with bilateral Cryptorchidism which involved all sorts of complications when it came time to neuter him.  After exploratory surgery, x-rays and testosterone testing -- the vets concluded he was born without testes -- which they say is a very rare genetic mutation.  I suspect the breeder had him "clipped" as a puppy, but what do I know. Since then, Milo has shown no sign of any lingering health issues related to this condition.   In the past I have owned and trained an Australian Shepherd, Rottie, min-pin and mixed breeds.  But Milo is just the best doggie I have ever had the privilege of raising!  Boy Bichon  You can see Milo doing tricks for treats last Christmas here:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=soFKugHstVU I have already scanned many threads on this site that have helped us cope with issues unique to Bichons, from food, allergies, grooming, tear stains, breeding, training, and the like.  This is just about the most comprehensive Bichon specific resource that I have been able to find.  Thank you so much for hosting and maintaining the site.   Thanks We still have plenty of questions as we mature in our knowledge of issues specific to this breed.   Grooming alone has become a daily ritual and almost an obsession for me.  LOL! We have a long way to go before we get that modified bichon cut look we are aiming for, but for us it is the journey not the destination.  More importantly, we are growing as one big happy family and Milo has made all the difference for us.  We are better because of him. I have attached a couple of pics.  Not sure how to create those very impressive looking signature pics that I see at the end of most posts.  Is there a trick to this?  Thanks again for having us.  Regards, George (aka bichondad)

So you found the official Meet & Greet page!   Welcome to you again!  So much to learn and it's fun sharing pics and milestones with others that feel the same about their little white fluffs!   There are some members on here that make "Siggy's" for those of us that don't know how.  Mine was made by Bianca's Mom Del.  I absolutely love the picture of Milo standing behind the cushion and think that would make a cute one.  Someday I'll get a program that will allow me to make my own.  Enjoy!   Kay
