Some of you read/know that Pam's Titch was diagnosed with a growth on her spleen. sad
Titch was due to have her spleen removed today, but it turns out the growth had spread to her kidneys. closedeyes
Pam made the difficult decision to let her go.....

Understandably, Pam is too distraught to post.... and wanted me to "close" her thread.
Which I did.  At the same time, I know members would want to send their condolences,
and hence I took the liberty of starting this new thread in [MEMORIAL]
.

Pam, sending my heartfelt sympathies (again).
May your memories of Titch angel help you through this difficult time.

Oh, I'm so very sorry, Pam. I so wished that it would have turned out differently.

(((((hugs)))))

And thank you, Del, for letting us know and posting such a nice tribute.

Oh, Pam.  I'm so very sorry for your loss.  I know how much you loved Titch.  You cared enough to not let Titch suffer.  You know you did the right thing, but I know it broke your heart.  Peace and prayers for you and Titch.

Thank you Del for starting this.  And thank you Chris, Sandie, Allison, Debbra and Mary Ellen for your thoughts.
This is a horrid time and it just came out of the blue.  The positive side of things is that until Wednesday things were normal for her.  We have just had a long holiday with the dogs which was super.  We used the buggy for both Poppy and Titch because walking a distance was an issue but it went well.  Then since we have been back we have done some nice strolls in through our favourite places.  So we have some lovely recent memories.  It is just so hard - a small dog who has left a huge space in our family and hearts.

Pam I am so very sorry to read this, my deepest condolences for your sudden and unexpected loss.  comfort
Thankfully you had a wondeful holiday and have good memories of Titch with your pack. I'm happy to hear that Titch was acting normal up until recently, her life was was happy and filled with love. Sadly we just know when it is time. I know it doesn't make it any easier but you did the right thing, it was time.

Thinking of you.   comfort

Thank you all for your best wishes.  As things have gone on we know we did the right thing in not waking her up from the anaesthetic but it doesn't make it any easier.  At the moment we are going through a series of firsts - you know what I mean - first trip out in the car without her type of thing, first walk in around our streets etc.  I don't think Pepe and Poppy have noticed  but poor Bengy is missing his play pal.  The routine was a bit of rough and tumble with Titch teasing him first thing in the morning.  He is - restless I suppose is the right word.  Just not quite himself.
And of course we have to collect her ashes this week which will be awful  Ah me.

What an experience!  We now have Titch's ashes sitting pride of place in our living room.  I am not experienced in this - but the Pet Crematorium have done it well.  Now we have to decide where we want to release them.  If we are not careful they will be remaining in our living room forever and that is not what was intended  sad.

There will come a time when looking at the ashes a smile will come across your face and then you'll know where to release them. You know your did the right thing and soon you will be able celebrate her life.  comfort Hugs to you and wee Bengy too.
