Sorry, Del, if I should have put this under 'supplies'. I debated...  thinking

Darwin will kinda sorta let me brush his teeth now, but I've tried several trying to find one that's easy to get in there, does a good job, etc. I have several of the long handled bristle ones (that I always seem to go back to) and I tried a plastic bristle , three sided one, but it was so stiff he ended up bleeding.

What do you use? Do you like it? Is there anything better out there that I haven't discovered?

Thanks!

Chris, I use the small end of a double brush.  The larger end is just too big for Bullett.  Since using the coconut oil/soda toothpaste I learned about on this forum,  he is letting me do a better job.  Loves the taste. It's great that Darwin is getting better about brushing too!

Just chucking out an idea here, recently I read that someone uses a defoliating mitt with their finger in it and they find that it works very well. I haven't got around to trying this myself.  original

No worries, Chris. original

For Bianca, I bought/use a kids-toothbrush .  Pink Wub.  Use it when I bathe her.

On a daily basis ~ after each meal hungry ~ I use a Japanese-brand "guaze' wipe (that is pre-soaked? with baking soda) to clean/brush her teeth.

Thanks, Kay, Lorraine, and Del.

I guess my short term memory is completely awful, because I forgot about the coconut oil paste!! That was Susan's recipe, right? I have to go find it. The vet gave me a tube of virbac toothpaste and I've been using that.
