Yesterday I took Bailey to get neutered and only one of his testicles had dropped so they had to remove the other from inside him. It's been almost 24 hours he doesn't like to walk and he refuses to eat.  Crying Has anyone had this problem? I'm so worried about him.

When my former Lhasa Skipper was neutered they couldn't locate the 2nd one.   Three Vets took a look and in doing so bruised him really bad plus he had been medicated longer than normal  due to the amount of time they spent looking.  He slept more at the beginning then he was so bruised and swollen he tried running from the pain and squealed loudly.  Your Bailey may be in pain and rather than running from it is staying still.  Also, sometimes the meds they put them out with will not set well with the pups.  Is he drinking?  Did they give you pain meds in case he needed them?  Keep puppy pads close by.  My Skipper who was totally housebroke by the time he was neutered couldn't control his bladder with all the swelling.  Hope Bailey gets to feeling better soon. Offer him something really smelly to get him to eat a bit, something with plenty of fluid in it.  Could be canned dog food, or baby food, or even canned tuna or salmon.  As long as he doesn't get dehydrated, he should be a bit better and start eating in a day or 2.

Welcome back Hailey.  Most fluffs are out of it / lethargic closedeyes after a spay/neuter surgery.  Poor Bailey had it tough comfort with his undescended testicle.  How is he now? sad  I really hope he's on the road to recovery. flowers

fluffgetwellB Bailey.  Bianca & I send Bichon hugs Hug and kisses Kiss for a quick recovery.

Bailey is doing much better! original  Thank You for all your concerns and advice it was extremely helpful. After the first night he was eating and drinking plenty of water. Now he is back to his normal playful self  fluff I would put a little ice in a Ziploc bag wrap it in a washcloth and he would sleep on top of it which helped him. I was given pain pills to give him twice a day which didn't seem to help as much as the ice pack.

I'm glad Bailey is doing better today!!!  It's hard to see them in pain.
Kilo was neutered last month and also had one undescended testicle.  He was in a lot of pain the first day, but felt better the next day.
The hardest part for me was keeping him calm until he was healed!
I hope that Bailey continues to feel well!  original
