fluff   angel   fluff   angelwings   fluff   angel   fluff   angelwings   fluff   angel   fluff

I remember reading a poem loveletter many years ago

and it left a deep impression (both in my mind Happy 2 and in my heart heart) because
I truly believe God gave each & everyone of us a Bichon fluff (or 2, or 3, or 4!) to loveword2:.

And while posting the new 2013 happybirthday thread* earlier today,
I got to thinking how several of our beloved Bichons fluff
have been "called back" by God last year.

*some have RIP-dates beside their birth-dates
because the member had informed me or posted a memorial thread.

Most of us don't remember when (exactly) a member's Bichon fluff had passed on;
just that they are romping at Rainbow Bridge now,

awaiting reunion Hug with their hu-family .

I thought blush I could make a list showing
how long a Bichon fluff was "lent" to their respective hu-family
and the date he/she was "called back" by God and became an angel fluffangel.

I really don't mean No to be insensitive or cause anyone grief by starting this thread.
Many of you have posted lovely Memorial threads loveletter for your beloved Bichons fluff.
And I know many of you are still thinking of Happy 2 / missing closedeyes your beloved Bichons fluff.

It is my hope blush that at the end of this year,
I can make a photo/video tribute of bichon.ca's beloved Bichons fluff-girl fluff-boy
that have become ANGELS fluffangel fluffangel fluffangel fluffangel fluffangel (like SuperMax fluffsuperman).

Toward that end, may I ask blush that members who have loved & lost beloved Bichons fluff to.....

arrow Please post their birth-dates* Pacifier and the date they became an angel angelwings (ie. passed on).

arrow Please include a favorite photo for inclusion in the photo/video tribute later on

*Bichons fluff that you had adopted (as an adult) WILL be included. thumbsup
Doesn't matter if you don't know their birth-dates Pacifier; tell me their forever-home-dates instead.

I've always imagined Happy 2 our beloved Bichons fluff-girl fluff-boy romping at Rainbow Bridge
(hence this :: Bichons Frises ROMPING AT RAINBOW BRIDGE :: thread ).

Hopefully at the end of the year, we'll see them romping "for real" Happy 2
(ie. see photos, instead of fluff-images).

I'm doing this blush because those we hold in our hearts, we never say goodbye to.

I think blush with this photo/video tribute, we can look back on
the many beautiful Bichons fluff fluff fluff that have graced this forum, and our lives.

Note: Bichon(s) fluff that you had loved & lost angelwings
before you joined this forum can & will be included in this photo/video tribute too. nodding
Just post your beloved Bichon's birth-date Pacifier and RIP-date angelwings, and include a photo too.

Without further ado, I leave you with this beautiful poem loveletter (by an unknown author).
I have added the word Bichon..... no copyright infringement is intended.

LEND ME A BICHON fluffbaby PUPPY

I will lend to you for a while, a Bichon puppy, God said.
For you to love while he/she lives, and mourn when he/she is dead.

Maybe for 12 or 14 years, or maybe two or three,
But will you, 'til I call him/her back, take care of him/her for me?

He/She will bring his/her charms to gladden you and should his/her stay be brief,
You'll always have his/her memories as solace for your grief.

I cannot promise that he/she will stay, since all from earth return.
But there are lessons taught below, I want this Bichon pup to learn.

I've looked the whole world over, in search of teachers true.
And from the folk that crowd life's land, I have chosen you.

Now will you give him/her all your love, nor think the labor's vain?
Nor hate me when I come to take my Bichon puppy home again?

I fancied that I heard them say "Dear Lord, Thy Will Be Done"
For all the joys this Bichon puppy brings, the risk of grief we'll run.

We'll shelter him/her with tenderness, we'll love him/her while we may.
And for the happiness we've known, forever grateful stay.

But should you call him/her back much sooner than we planned.
We'll brave the bitter grief that comes, and try to understand.

If, by our love we've managed your wishes to achieve,
Then in memory of him/her whom we loved, please help us while we grieve.

When our cherished Bichon puppy departs this world of strife,
Please send us yet another needing soul, for us to love throughout his/her life.

Dedicated to all the beautiful Bichon fluffcribG fluffcribB fluffcribG fluffcribB puppies that God "lent" us
and all the beloved fluffangel fluffangel fluffangel fluffangel fluffangel fluffangel Bichons that have been "called back" by God.

I'm sorry Del, I couldn't even get through your initial post as my eyes filled with tears and I couldn't read any more.  Crying I doubt that I could read this thread as it would be so heartbreaking.

Thanks Marilyn for posting.  Mister Harry angelwings was one of the Bichons I was thinking of when I started/posted this thread.  I will always remember (snuggling) him! Wub  When you have the time, do add a favourite photo, so I can use it later for the photo/video tribute.

I'm with Lin. It's a lovely, wonderful idea, but I've had a really stressful month or so and I welled up in the first paragraph of the first post, so I couldn't go on. I think it is a very good idea and helps with closure for those healing from the loss of a bichon, though.

It's ok Chris.  You shouldn't read the poem then (in the 2nd post) for it will probably make you cry Crying even more.  There are days when I feel really emotional and on such days, I would have bawled crybaby reading the poem.  I couldn't No have done this (thread) if a Bichon on here had just passed on closedeyes.  The recent festive season have 'lightened' my heart & spirit Happy 2 (especially in light of previous year) so I was able to do this today. blush

I also teared up but I think that it is a wonderful and caring idea to remember the precious angels that have left us and are at Rainbow Bridge awaiting our reunion.  I think that each of us can decide if we are able to read the thread. Love the poem, I have not read it before.

Angels without wings are called Friends.

« Reply #15 on: January 09, 2013, 12:38:08 PM »

Such a beautiful idea, Del and the poem left me with a lump in my throat. I had never read it before, and now with Ozzie's illness, I think about what I will do if and when his time comes.
I do think that this is all part of the grieving process as an individual and as a group. Just to name the two on your list so far, it still amazes me that the passing of Max and Harry, neither of whom I have met or had any physical contact, hit me like it did. I was truly heartbroken.
My heart was so touched by the loving grace of Marilyn and Susan at the time of their sweet boys passing. It goes to show that the bonds of friendship do run deep and strong, even across the miles.
So, to each and every one of you, who have let their  fluff pass over Rainbow Bridge taking so much love with them, please know that you are in my heart and when it happens in my life, I will try to take what I have learned from you all and use it to help me.

Thanks you - the poem is beautiful and brought tears to my eyes.

When I called the groomers yesterday, to confirm Denny and Dexter's appt, I slipped up and said Buddy's name instead. He has been on my mind a lot lately, I was never owned a dog before we got him, and now I miss him so much.

Buddy was born on Nov 9, 1997 and joined our family on March 22, 1998 - on my son's 10th birthday.

Buddy left us suddenly on Feb 14, 2010.

Carol, your lovely note touched me.  I think all of us, at one time or another, have thought of what we'll do Crying or in my case, how will I ever manage or survive when it's my time closedeyes to return Bianca to God.  I 'hear' you about being 'hit' with Max's angelwings & Harry's angelwings passing.  Each time I hear of a Bichon's passing, sadness overcomes me Crying, but I was really "shaken" sadangel (for lack of a better word) when I learnt of Harry's angelwings passing, and later on Max's angelwings passing.  Suffice to say, my fear about losing Bianca hit full force and Terri (bless her Hug) had comforted/assured me for she was in receipt of my emotional PMs crybaby on those 2 instances.

So, to each and every one of you, who have let their  fluff pass over Rainbow Bridge taking so much love with them, please know that you are in my heart and when it happens in my life, I will try to take what I have learned from you all and use it to help me.
I feel that way too, but I could never have conveyed it as well as you did, Carol.  Such a beautiful 'dedication'.  Thank You

Thank You Catherine for posting Buddy's fluffangel photos.  The first one is especially lovely Wub.  I remember nodding him through your earlier posts.   I will surely add Buddy angelwings to the photo/video tribute.

I think this tribute is a lovely idea Del, and yes I have tears running down my face. I had my own fright with BeeGee last month when he injured his leg. He is nine and it made me feel quite vulnerable regarding his health and age.

I grieve every time one of my Bichon friends loses a Bichon. We are all part of a special family, and it definitely hurts my heart when a Bichon is lost. I remember I was at work when I found out that Charlie had died, trying to explain to my work mates what I was so upset about was an interesting experience.
