Next month is the annual holiday party hosted by my local Bichon club.  I will be bringing something to donate to the raffle table and also a $15 fluff-related gift for the group's gift exchange.  Any suggestions for either?   fluff

I would just browse ebay with the search word: bichon
Which I do almost daily anyway, lol.

OR, on the boring side, a gift certificate to Pet Edge.

OR, something from Pet Edge.

For the raffle, not bichon specific but you could do a stack of puppy pads.

I would NOT do a mug for the gift exchange; there are so many AND most folks who want one buy it for themselves.

Some of the craft folks on ebay come up with very unique ideas; which reminds me to check etsy as well!

You can do a T shirt for the raffle, as folks will know the size as they bid on it.  You can't really do that for the gift exchange.

This would also be nice for the raffle - again, the person bidding knows the towel color, if he / she does NOT want pink in her green bathroom, as an example, lol.  This is on etsy, search: bichon towel

If it were me, I would want something I could use, like harness, or some other gear.

Chris, I was thinking that.  The problem there is, our bichons come in so many sizes!  It would be difficult to get something to fit.  It may be OK for the raffle item, because folks would know if it would suit their dog or not.  For the gift swap, unless you know in advance who you are exchanging with, that is not going to work.  Same with a T-shirt due to size, and a personalized ornament.

I was thinking if you could find a personalize ornament, print a photo of it and add in a bichon bar of soap, as an example.  The combined cost would be the $15; the person gets something right then to show off; and you can arrange for the personalized ornament to be sent to them.

Thanks for the great ideas! I love, love, love Etsy and will check out ebay and pinterest, too. I have never used pinterest before. I looked quickly at the Cafe Press shirts and I definitely need to browse more thoroughly when I have a little more time. I laughed so hard at the Real Men Walk Bichons shirt. So true. Rick thinks so anyway.

I made a personalized ornament of Bella's 1st Christmas and I cherish it. Its her photo with Santa.  That would be a great idea, probably for the raffle since I'm sure not everyone celebrates Christmas.  Where do i get bichon soap?!

Calendar would work as well.

Bichon soap:  I saw some on Etsy.  We have a special festival every Columbus Day weekend.  Last year, one of the local farms had goats milk soap with varied animals on.  I bought cats and bichons, lol.

You should be able to use Google to find most anything.
- bichon soap
- bichon planter
- bichon whatever!

GOOD SHOPPING KELLY, both for you and the raffle!  clapping
Funny how we can go looking for a gift for someone, and see 100's of gifts for ourselves, BUT, when we have money to spend on ourselves, we can't find a dang thing!

That is so true!!  Next time I will try a little reverse psychology on myself... you know, pretend I am shopping for whoever I am not supposed to have in mind... too bad I'm in on the plan... otherwise I might have pulled it off.  wacko Laughing

So, I received my prints and the frames I ordered!  Unfortunately, the glass was cracked in the Circus Bichon frame when it arrived:

For some reason, Bella thought this was funny and wanted to be involved while I was taking a photo of the damage to send to the seller...

I can't wait to get the glass replaced so I can put it up on the wall.  I  Love word it!

I also framed the Bichon Club gift:

It looks nice in our bedroom, but I am resisting the urge to keep it.  Laughing

The trinket box was very nice as well.  Its heavy and a good quality.  The color is a little more golden than it looks in the photo, but I still like it a lot.  They are going to put it as a special silent auction item in the raffle.

I love shopping!  sillybounce

Thanks, Lin!  The frame came from Amazon, so I've contacted the seller to ask for a replacement piece of glass.  At first, I thought I would just live with, but its bugging me.

Time for Christmas shopping next!   Laughing

In one way, it is good the glass was broken on the item for YOU, as you may not have time for the turn around if it had been something for the pawty.

Everything looks grand!  Well done!
