I have two bichons and i just posted a thread on Cesar and his sudden fear and growling at everything, my Hero is great and loves people and dogs.. BUT when Cesar acts up and im walking with the stroller and both dogs I tend to get more flustered and out of focus than when im just walking cesar, and then everyone feels my frustration and even Hero barks and i feel stupid!.. How do you calm yourself if your dog act up? Ive tried counting to 10 and breathing but when they go off they really go off..

Its tough I know, at times I walk four dogs, and I struggle. Things changed for the better after I read 'be the pack leader' yes another ceaser milan book.

It was more about the energy you project etc. So I started walking tall, shoulders back, looking ahead of me and not fearfully at the dogs or at what was coming next. I tried to put a 'we will have a nice walk, I'm in control and nothing bad will happen' thought in my mind. And amazingly, it worked. Honestly I did nothing else.

I know it sounds alittle 'airy fairy'.

Having read your other thread though, I think when you get some help with little ceasers issue, the rest of your pack will fall into place. Good luck.

Nz i follow Cesar Millan too, altho my dog got his name before i knew about Milan i still say he's named after him, just a shame he's suddenly so misbehaved lol! Im sure there's something to it tho, my energy is bad on walks, today we passed two dogs while my boyfriend held the lead and he was fine.... I had to check my energy all the time, i was anticipating a growl, bark and then nothing.. Tomorrow im walking alone again.. Ill let you know how it goes.

Good luck, hold your head high and your shoulders back. Even if you dont feel so confident inside, you can fake it with body language.
