I have just noticed on my photobucket account a big advertisment trying to get one to upgrade to pro.
I understand that you have to pay for this and being from NZ this could be costy.
Is the best way around this is to keep deleting photos so that I keep a low mb useage on my account. Deleting photos is time consuming so would be interested how everyone else manages.  Thank You

I've never upgraded to pro and I have literally thousands of pictures and siggies on there.

I wouldn't worry about it. They haven't deleted any of my pictures, they would just prefer for you to send them money.

(I'd actually prefer  someone to send me money too, but they never do. Laughing

One hint might be to resize your pictures before you upload them to Photobucket.

I haven't gone "Pro" either  wink1 and I have tons of picture in my account.
Only thing that I would caution you about is deleting your photos -  if you delete them in Photobucket, wherever you have posted them, (i.e. Ella's photoboard) they will be deleted there as well, and replaced by the cursed little box with the red x in it.  Mad Remember that when it comes to your siggies as well, if you are using Photobucket to download and then copy to your profile. I did that once, and "lost" a lot of my very special and early day siggie.  sad

Susan,    The reason that I use Photobucket is that it resizes them to the correct forum size when I download them from the computor. This saves me a whole lot of hassle having to resize. Hmmm

Thanks Carol, I have noticed a warning when you delete things that you can lose videos.

Yup it is an ad, like any other ad.

And i you use Windows, there is a free app which allows you to resize multiple photos at one time, just a few short clicks, right on the computer.  This saves the storage on photobucket so it will last longer.

I "lost" my photos on my computer last summer when I had to use my Restore disks, and forgot to get the photos onto a jump drive first.  I have yet to get them of photobucket, but that is on my "to do" list!

I noticed that ad too. And the bar makes it look like you've used a lot of space... then I realized it said only 1% of the available space I have. So I can go about another 200 years at the rate I am saving stuff and still not run out......    wink1
