Thanks everyone .Lin,she's doing really well.
She did yelp as I put her in her pen last night, but don't think we'd touched anything so probably just moving did it.
She slept all night and is nagging for cheese right now as she just heard the toaster pop.She is obviously unwell, but quite perky. Its very different this time. She seems in far less pain and doesn't seem scared at all.
Anne Marie I do wonder how much her being better is making me more relaxed,or vice versa.I think its working both ways and the fact she has a good leg now is making it far easier for her.As we've both done it before so that helps too.I still freak at every movement though. The thought of it going wrong if we aren't careful enough is never far away!!! Just me being paranoid as usual
I just heard a click from her pen so freaked out a bit,but she didn't seem in pain so hopefully ok.She's standing well on 3 legs and walking.I wish she would stay a bit stiller.
Lorraine I do weigh myself then me holding her.The vet does have a more accurate scales too as they work the dose of medication on it.She has a smaller antibiotic dose this time as she's lighter.I have been careful with her weight as her knees couldn't take it.The vet said they get a lot of overweight bichons in and its much harder for them to cope.Alison
