I thought Mary Ellen would have put this up.
There is a coton de tulear in Canada, turned in to a foster home by his owner who can't afford to keep him anymore. Male, good lines, 10 years old. Cute boy, clipped very short at the moment.
Not sure if this rescue is only for bichons or if a bichon cousin can be posted here as well.
From Traci Bailey on Facebook.

Sent you a PM. If there is a website, I don't know about it. I only know what Traci posted on her facebook status, that is what I put in the original post.
She has your email and you can chat directly.

I too was unsure if I could post him here, so I didn't... but since Sandie has taken the bull by the horns so to speak.... He's not listed on any internet pages. He was posted by a reputable breeder in Canada on my Coton de Tulear Yahoo list. He is originally from France and I am sure no one wants him to have to go through travel and quarantine again at 10 years old.
Luna and Pippin get along great, I know that Karen will be upfront if there are any problems with Koji, and will be discriminating about who gets him.
I do see that Karen has posted a news flash about him on her website, I suppose anyone could go and look. www.cotonwind.com She also has some info on her adults available.. with her contact info.
Here's what her original message said...Hi Everyone,
We have received an 11-1/2 year old Coton into rescue here in Canada. He is an owner turn-in as a result of the owner being unable to cope with the dog along with a 3 year old and twin 6 month old children. We are hoping to find a home as quickly as possible. Given his age, I’d just as soon not have him get attached to me here only to have to rehome again. He’s a sweet little boy, but obviously lost and confused right now.
His name is Koji, he is originally from France.
He is 11-1/2 and neutered. He is of normal size, is cute, but has a VERY short haircut right now. (I haven’t weighed him as I don’t want to do too much with him yet – he wants to stay in his donut bed near Liesl)
He is in good health. He has a fatty lump on his lower chest (closer to his belly) that has been biopsied and is simply a fatty lump.
He does guard food if he has managed to steal a piece of bread or some such thing.
He does not guard toys.
He likes children but I think he’d be best in a home with older children.
He is fine with my cats but he has not been introduced to any of my dogs except Liesl as he seems rather tired from his 5 hour drive, and he is overwhelmed right now.
If you know of anyone that would be interested in adopting this sweet little boy, please let me know. I’d love to find him a forever home … my heart goes out to him.
Thanks,
Karen

I can certainly keep everyone up to date on Koji! Karen says he's being quiet and a bit shy. Loves his doughnut bed and is staying close to it. (I'll bet it smells like home, since it came with him). She said he wanted his back rubbed with her feet the other day. Took her a while to figure it out but once she did he was in heaven. She posted a couple of pictures of him with his very short do'. Betting he'll be gorgeous once it grows out some.

Traci, thanks for stepping up with all that additional info. I wonder how he lost a year and half in the FB posting? HEY! Do you think I can too?
