Jemma and Nic best buds!

« Reply #16 on: January 28, 2010, 02:30:45 AM »

Yes Tomorrow morning is the big day for Jemma. We had our pre-spay appointment today and the Vet said everything looked good  nodding She's a little mad at me at the moment she's not allowed food only water so she's unhappy  Sneaky that her food bowl is on the counter and not on the floor where she can scratch at it (which she normally does when she wants more  hungry). She's allowed Water until Midnight tonight and after that Nothing until after the surgery. She also had a bubble bath tonight  which she hates  No as well. I think after this week if she doesn't decide to sell me on  ebay  SOS we'll go back to being best buds  Wub I promise i'll post updates & photos of Jemma tomorrow both pre/post surgery  grouphug

I just got off the phone with our vet everything went well  nodding she's now resting at the Vet Clinic as they are keeping her there for a bit under observation but I get to pick her up right after I'm done work at 4 PM  cheerleader (it's now 12:43 PM Pacific) So just a few more hours to go  yahoo It's been weird being at work without her and I know the children missed her as the second I walked in the door without her they asked "Where's Jemma"  eyebrows I will post more once we finally get her settled in at home later this evening  thumbup

We have good news  yahoo Our Pretty  fluffprincess is finally home  cheerleader she is sore and tired but otherwise good. She didn't sleep much after the surgery today as she was too busy trying to figure out where she was and she even made a couple of new friends back in their recovery room. I was told that she was a very brave little girl  thumbup and was a trooper from start to finish. She was shaking when they brought her out to me  fluffglare and after a quick  fluffpoop break when we got home she's been sleeping on our bed or on me (right now she's sleeping on me as I type) I also took some photos to share with all of you

Here is Jemma yesterday evening at bedtime (Pre-Spay)

Here are a couple of photos of Jemma (Post-Spay)

The first one is one of her without her Onsie on. She has some yellow Iodine stains from where they sterlilized her before the surgery. I was told it should come out when we are allowed to bath her 10 days from now  eyebrows

And here she is in her Raspberry Pink Onsie (We also have a baby pink striped one that my boyfreind calls her jail outfit  Jail Bird 2)

says thank you for all your well wishes. We'll post more updates throughout the week but for now I think i'm going to get my boyfriend to pour me a glass of  wine
