Thanks For asking MaryEllen, Lia is great! She had her stitches removed yesterday morning, that too was uneventful. We were very blessed as the whole ordeal was very easy, by the 2nd day Lia was back to her active playful self and the hardest part, as I had imagined, was keeping her and Luigi apart. Luigi being a very intuitive and sensitive boy knew when I raised my voice and said, "NO, Lia has a boo boo, no wrestling." would stop dead in his tracks and I would pick Lia up and put her back in the playpen. That lasted only until about day 5 then I let them play, she was not in any pain, her incision was small and dry so I let her climb stairs and play for short monitored intervals. Today is day 10 and you'd never know she had a procedure except for the shaved belly that needs time to grow in.
One more pic of Lia's convalescence.

No more vet visits until March, for Luigi annuals!  woohoo

What a good mom Lia has. She looks so snuggly in her new temporary bed.  Hope that she continues to progress well with no problems.  Sounds like you have planned well.  I will ask my friend who owns half of a vet clinic about the cost of pulling teeth.  The main expense is usually the anesthetic but she has to have that for the surgery.  At least she can get some benefit from not having to be put under again.
