I saw this book listed on amazon.ca "Barron's Dog Bible - Bichon Frise" by Richard Beaucamp.  Has anyoner read this?  Is it useful?  I am looking for a Bichon specific book, not just another dog book.  Thanks.

I  did have the Bichon Friese Handbook by the same authour, for 5 yrs I used to call it my Bible.

It was great when Harry was a puppy thumbup, and well thumbed  nodding

Then Poppy  devil came  along  and ate/ripped it whistling whistling

Would throughly recommend any of the authours Bichon books  thumbup

I would buy any book book by Richard Beauchamp. thumbsup  He was an early champion rock of the breed (like Barbara Stubbs), and a judge graduate of the breed too.  Like Marilyn, I have the BICHON FRISE HANDBOOK book by him. thumbsup

I get my books at the local library.  The online request system is SO easy.  Just had 10 bichon books out (for the 2d time in 3 years) to check up on some stuff.

Had a quick peek on the site.  This book is not dissimilar to Richard's - The Truth about Bichon Frise.  I do so like his books.

I just bought one last week. It is excellent!  I haven't viewed the cd that comes with it yet but I really enjoyed flipping through the book. I read some parts and this author knows Bichons well!  He even has a chart across 2 pages which describes a Bichon's mood with corresponding body language and what it means. It's a very thorough book. A++++ from me.

Oh yeah... I forgot to mention, I have a few books on the Bichon Frise and I wish I had this book before I spent money on them. To me this book is all you need to know about Bichons. The rest can be left up to experience that comes from owning one.  Fantastic big book at a great price!

Instead of walking the malls for hours, searching for the perfect gift for others, I quickly slipped into Chapters and picked up this book for ME!  I came back home, curled up in bed and began to read.
Very self indulgent, I know, but I deserve it!  yahoo
