I just received this warning about Bichon Boutique

I just learned that some malware has ended up on the Bichon Boutique
website (at www.bichonbash.com).

I will be working to fix it ... but until further notice, do NOT go
there!  If you forget and go there .... hopefully there will be a
warning screen telling you not to enter.
DO NOT ENTER!

I will let you know when it is corrected and "safe" to shop again in
the Boutique.

This apparently happened in the last day or two.  If you had been in
the Boutique during that time, please check your computers to see if
any virus has gotten into your computer.

I am so very sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

FYI .... NO PERSONAL INFORMATION from purchasers in the Boutique is
on this computer, so nothing has been compromised from the website
regarding your identity.  Also .... any credit card numbers or bank
information you have provided me for your purchases is not on any
computer so that it cannot ever get into the hands of anyone else.

Again, my most sincere apologies!

Jill Siegel, Volunteer, MD Bichon Frise Rescue, Inc.

Wow, I hope folks open this thread.  I saw the title and, last time we had a Boutique thread it was about a sale, so I almost went directly to the site!  YIKES!

Thanks for spreading the word..

That is so awful and I feel so sorry for Jill having to work to clear up the malicious problems on such a great site.   sad    I knew before this that she didn't keep personal information linked to the site and, instead , uses the telephone for charge info. etc.  but just having the malware attached does a lot of harm.

It always seems worse when a computer attack is launched against a non-profit site which doesn't have the funds to spend on constant security upgrades.   Mad   I'm sure that they will get it resolved soon and I always feel extra good about shopping when I know that the proceeds go to fluff rescue.    thumbsup

I think they are doing their best to sort it out.It was good of them to send the warnings out.It is a terrible thing to do,especially to a charity site.Alison
